By accessing or using Matcha Notes — including our mobile app and website at matchanotes.com — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. These terms are a legal agreement between you and Yahata Ventures, the company operating Matcha Notes.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Description of Service
Matcha Notes is a platform that allows users to discover, scan, rate, review, and track matcha products. Features include a product catalog of 500+ matcha products, a review and rating system, a personal journal, a wishlist, and community features such as following other users and liking reviews.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features you must create an account. You agree to:
• Provide accurate and complete information when registering.
• Keep your password secure and not share it with others.
• Notify us immediately at matchanotes@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
4. User Content
When you submit content — including reviews, tasting notes, photos, and journal entries — you retain ownership of that content. By posting it, you grant Yahata Ventures a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and use that content in connection with operating Matcha Notes.
You are solely responsible for the content you post. You must not post content that is false, misleading, defamatory, offensive, or that infringes on the rights of others.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
• Use Matcha Notes for any unlawful purpose.
• Post spam, fake reviews, or misleading information.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
• Attempt to access, scrape, or copy our data without permission.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our app.
• Use automated tools or bots to interact with our services.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on Matcha Notes that is not user-generated — including our logo, design, code, written content, and product data — is owned by Yahata Ventures and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without prior written permission.
7. Pricing & Subscriptions
Matcha Notes is currently free to use. We may introduce premium features or subscription plans in the future. If we do, we will provide clear notice before any charges apply, and you will always have the option to continue using the free tier.
Pricing, features included in any premium tier, and billing terms will be published at that time.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Matcha Notes is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Product information, tasting notes, and reviews are user-generated and we make no representations about their accuracy or completeness.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yahata Ventures shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Matcha Notes — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages from relying on information found on the platform.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Matcha Notes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United States.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Matcha Notes after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
